BBC: Marriage a "respectable" out for prostitutes?
The BBC recently reported on a northern Indian sect that called for its members to pledge to marry prostitutes as a respectable way for prostitutes to leave the sex trade, to protect these women’s legal rights once they’re married, and to reduce the HIV infection rate in the highest risk groups in India.

The Perfect Finishing Touch: Headpieces
I’ve always thought that fishnet veils that cover a bride’s eyes are a modern way to play up an edgy bride’s personal style while still looking pretty in her white dress. With my traditional Indian wedding lengha, this isn’t really an option for me (although I’d love some photos with this look after the event).
